Movies as a Source of Knowledge

Sunday afternoon I was watching Hitchcock's "North by North-West". The movie was coming to the end. Cary Grant with the blond girl are in a car, running from international spies people. The car approaches huge gates. Cary Grant stops the car, jumps out and starts opening the gates. And I was lke: "Why doesn't he ram them?"

THIS GUY JUST DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO RUN FROM THE INTERNATIONAL SPIES PEOPLE! When you run, you ram the freaking gates, otherwise you will not make it. Everybody knows it, right?

I bet all these action movies fans who enroll to martial art schools are getting highly disappointed by laws of physics very quikly.
