Recycled magazine turned into a Christmas tree

Hey-hey-hey, the Christmas is on it's way! I want to share with you the good old science of converting an old magazine into a fun little Christmas tree. Here you go.

1) Take a big fat glossy magazine. Open it as far as it goes and then force a little bit more to break the binding. You might need to do it twice or three times.

2) Starting with the cover, fold every page, bringing the top right corner to the crease. Press the fold neatly.

3) Next, fold each page again in the same direction, bringing the outside corner to the crease. At the end you should get the fan of long diamond-shape “neckties”.

4) Now carefully tack the bottom corners of each “necktie” inside, creating the flat tree bottom.

Each magazine page is turned into a long stiff triangle:

If you did the step one well, the magazine should fan into a neat cone. Now you can spray-paint it, cover with glitter or decorate in any way you want! I decided to leave it as it is. I sort of lean towards a casual, modern, Scandinavian-style décor this year.

Ta-daaaa!

  4. You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation
but I find this topic to be really something which I
think I would never understand. It seems too complex and extremely broad for me.

I'm looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!
